Anyone who thinks babies do not have a personality from the start certainly never met Sarah. Sarah loved her dog Ella. She loved music and stories. She liked to hide from Jim. Jim never felt her kick because the Little Stinker would quit moving if he touched my belly. I even tried just grabbing his hand but as soon as I put his hand on my belly she quit squirming. Maybe it was that his touch was soothing to her, I don't know.
Anyway, Sarah had a temper. Her little body would turn red from the top of her head to the soles of her feet and everywhere in between. She had spunk. Oh did she have spunk. She hated getting her picture taken! Everyone and I mean EVERYONE who came to visit us during Sarah's short life took her picture. "She is just so beautiful!" I heard people say. Snap! Flash! "Grimace. If Sarah could have rolled her little eyes she would have. If Sarah could have gone off on the picture seekers, she would have annihilated more than one camera in those three days.
I wonder at times what six-year old Sarah would be doing. I wonder if she would have been bossing everyone in Joyful Noise around or if she would have been best buddies with the little girls at church.
I miss my Lady Bug but I know that God's taking care of her until I hold her in my arms once again.
